Our Licence, Our Limits: Five Things We Will Tell You We Cannot Do

Summary

A licence describes what a company may do, not what it can guarantee. This page names the five limits we state before you book - inventory that is sold out, weather and closures, insurance we do not sell, entry decisions we do not make, and dates we will not over-promise - and what we do instead of saying yes.

Our Licence, Our Limits: Five Things We Will Tell You We Cannot Do

A Licence Sets a Boundary, Not a Promise

A licence describes what a company may do rather than what it can guarantee. We would rather name the limits before you book than explain them afterwards. Our licence page sets out the scope we hold; this page sets out the edges.

Limit One: Inventory That Is Sold Out

Rooms, seats and timed slots are released in blocks and taken quickly in peak windows. When a date is gone it is genuinely gone: we cannot buy it back, and we will not call a date open when it is not. Real-name bookings explains why a held slot cannot simply be renamed to you.

Limit Two: Weather, Closures and the Days We Cannot Sell

Mountain cableways stop in high wind, river cruises pause when water levels move, and sites close for maintenance with little notice. Those days are not sellable, and no operator can make them safe. Our job is to keep a same-day alternative inside the same city and to move a fixed-date ticket rather than waste it.

Limit Three: Insurance Is Yours, Not Ours

We do not sell insurance, and we cannot vouch for a policy bought elsewhere. What we can confirm is what a route demands: altitude, walking distance and vehicle class. Where the line sits between traveller and operator is set out in where our responsibility ends.

Limit Four: Visa and Entry Decisions Are Not Ours

Entry rules are set by immigration authorities and they change without warning. We can give you the current published list, and we can check name spelling, passport validity and blank pages. We cannot influence an outcome, and anyone who claims to is describing something they do not control. What an inbound licence covers explains the scope we actually hold.

Limit Five: We Will Not Over-Promise a Date or an Outcome

Some enquiries deserve a straight no: a route that cannot be driven in the days available, a date that collides with a public holiday peak, a group size no compliant vehicle can seat. We name the problem and then offer the version that does work. A yes we cannot deliver costs you more than a no.

What We Do Instead of Saying Yes

Refusing a detail is not refusing the trip. When a hotel is gone we look for a better-fit property; when a site closes we rebuild the day. The rhythm behind that work is described in our 48-hour process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you guarantee a specific hotel or date?

No. Availability belongs to the supplier rather than to us, and peak windows sell out. We confirm what is held in your name, offer the nearest workable alternative when something is gone, and never describe a date as secured before the supplier confirms it in writing.

What happens if weather or a closure affects my dates?

We move the day rather than cancel the trip. Cableways, cruises and outdoor sites are the usual casualties, so a same-city alternative is prepared in advance. Where a fixed-date ticket cannot be moved, we say what can be recovered and what cannot.

Do you sell travel insurance?

No, and we will not act as if we do. Insurance stays the traveller's own arrangement; we confirm route demands and timing so a policy fits. What we handle is the paperwork a licensed operator must file for the itinerary.
